Apex Legends players are finally getting a bigger inventory

Apex Legends’ latest event has arrived and it’s bringing players a massive quality of life improvement. The System Override Collection patch has plenty of regular changes, like balance updates to characters and weapons, but it also increases players’ base inventory slots from eight to 10. Inventory space has long been an annoying mechanic to juggle in Apex Legends. In almost every game, you’d get a backpack within the first few minutes of a game, which would make things a little bit easier to manage. But in the rare cases where you were unlucky enough not to find a backpack, running around with just eight inventory slots could be a massive pain. Now, with the base inventory up to 10, and all of the backpacks given an upgrade as well, it should be easier for player to hang on to the items they need. The System Override Collection event also includes a new game mode called Deja Loot, which trades out the traditional random battle royale loot for loot that always spawns in the same place game after game. The event also has its own cosmetics line for players to unlock and collect through Apex Packs. The event will run until March 17. For a full look at everything that’s changing in Apex Legends’ System Override Collection event you can find the patch notes below.
